Starting this year, DELTA ROBOT and ARM ROBOT systems are controlled via PLC CODESYS, using kinematic equations in the software through EtherCAT bus to manage 11 axes simultaneously. The CNC function controls 3-axis engraving machine with GCODE, while various ECAM designs are also created and managed over EtherCAT, with control via a touch screen supporting CODESYS V3 for direct access to PLC variables. This years goal is to incorporate machine vision for position mapping with the Delta and Arm robots.
All Delta robots are manufactured in Thailand, based on foreign prototypes to reduce costs, and plans are in place to produce small ARM Robots with a payload capacity of up to 1 kilogram for work and for learning. For those interested in collaborating, please reach out.
The PLC CODESYS used is all Chinese. Currently, I am using 4 brands for testing and the price is not expensive. The most expensive one is over twenty thousand baht. It can do motion via Ethercat bus with a maximum of 16 axes simultaneously. It supports CNC, ROBOTICS, CAM, OPC UA, CAN BUS, ETHERSCAT BUS, MODBUS TCP/IP, MODBUS RTU.
