What is Turbidity?

Turbidity refers to the cloudy whiteness or cloudiness of a liquid, which is usually caused by the presence of suspended particles such as sediment, clay, clay, etc. Turbidity is an indicator of how clear or turbid the water is, and it is considered an important parameter in assessing water quality because it can indicate contamination or pollution in the water.
Turbidity is usually measured in Nephelometric Turbidity Unit (NTU) or Formazine Nephelometric Unit (FNU) based on the principle of scattering light on particles in water. A measuring instrument called a turbidimeter emits light through a water sample and then measures the amount of light scattered from the particles. The more light scattered, the higher the turbidity value.
